This is a permanent page in which items will be added as needed through the year. After IGRA Convention, this page will be cleared until new interpretations become neccessary. Chute Dogging
Rule XII - Rules for Events At the January 15, 2010 Trustees Meeting, the following interpretation was passed by a voice vote. The intent of rule 7 is that contestants may only begin using their strength and skill to twist/pull the steer down after the steer's 4 hooves have crossed the 10-foot line. Starting to dog before crossing the line will result in disqualification of the contestant. Goat size
Past rulebook The size of goats was discussed. The past rulebook read "...minimum height of 25–30 inches at shoulder..." The word "minimum" cannot be used in conjunction with a size range. The range of 25–30 inches should be followed. Newsletter Editor comment: The current online Rodeo Rules have been partially corrected stating RULE VII |
